    Inkopo Limited has changed its name to Viking Fund Managers Limited

    Following its acquisition by Braveheart Investment Group, Inkopo has changed its name to Viking Fund Managers Limited. This change seeks to create a closer brand alignment with Braveheart and more clearly represent our expertise in the region.
  • Jun 10 : £10m invested through YABA

    YABA announces more than £10 million has been invested in 4 years through the region's business angel network.
     
    This milestone figure represents investment in 41 companies over 67 funding rounds, with deals from 10k to just under £1m. 10 of these companies are based in West Yorks, 18 in South Yorks and 13 in North Yorks.

    Braveheart has completed the acquisition of Envestors Ltd, the London-based specialist corporate finance advisory business. Envestors specialises in helping young dynamic companies raise funding from business angels or early stage venture funds. Over the past three years, the firm has helped more than 60 companies raise in excess of £22 million.

    Inkopo Consulting Limited has formed to continue services to start-up companies.

    Following its acquisition by Braveheart Investment Group, Inkopo has been divided into Viking Fund Managers Limited and Inkopo Consulting Ltd. This creates a clarification of the focus of each and allow for simpler marketing our services.

Viking Fund Managers, under its previous name of Inkopo Limited, was acquired in 2009 by Braveheart Investment Group plc the technology commercialisation and investment management company.

Braveheart acquires Neon

Mar 12 - Braveheart completes its acquisition of Neon Capital Partners.

Braveheart has completed its acquisition of Neon Capital Partners which was established to manage the £48m Finance Yorkshire Equity Fund from office in Barnsley & Leeds. Andrew Burton, managing director of Viking Fund Managers, will be responsible for the enlarged regional business.

NorthEast Angel Network

May 11 - Viking Fund Managers to establish Angel network in North East.

VFM has been appointed by North East Access to Finance, which supports SMEs in the North-East, to develop and manage a Business Angel network in the region.

Yorkshire-based Viking, which was bought by Braveheart Investment Group in 2009, founded the Viking Fund which has co-invested £4m in around 30 companies alongside Yorkshire business angels and manages the Yorkshire Association of Business Angels (YABA).

Following its acquisition by the Braveheart Investment Group, Inkopo has undergone a period of restructuring which has resulted in its name change to Viking Fund Managers Limited and the formation of a separate consulting body Inkopo Consulting Limited.

Braveheart acquires envestors

Oct 10 - Braveheart completes its acquisition of Envestors Limited.

Braveheart has completed the acquisition of Envestors Ltd, the London-based specialist corporate finance advisory business. Envestors specialises in helping young dynamic companies raise funding from business angels or early stage venture funds. Over the past three years, the firm has helped more than 60 companies raise in excess of £22 million.  Envestors runs business angel networks in London and the Home Counties, Jersey/the Channel Islands and has associate or franchise operations in Manchester and Dubai.  Envestors was voted best Private Investor Network of the year in 2009 at the annual Investor Allstars Awards.
